Joe Marshall, the pastor of New Beginnings Baptist Church, has a strong desire to establish Bible-believing Christians in the faith and is a practical preacher with the vision to see God do something great in North Brisbane.

Following a time of preparation, God led Pastor and his family to Brisbane to work with Great Hope Baptist Church. In October of 2004, God moved Pastor and his family to Darwin to help establish the Gateway Baptist Church.  In 2007, Gateway was able to sponsor in Pastor Dan Delong and helped him establish the Coastline Baptist Church in Cairns.   December 2012 saw God move Pastor’s family to Brisbane to base out of Good Shepherd Baptist Church

While at Good Shepherd, God brought the Marshall and Avenell families together to start the New Beginnings Baptist Church. New Beginnings Baptist Church has a vision and a passion for providing a church home for the entire family.

Pastor Joe and his wife Melissa, have been married since 1998, and have four children – Breanna, Josiah, Kaitlyn, and Thomas.
